Youth Club


Youth club is formed under the department of youth welfare that provides maximum opportunities and create conditions for students to develop into better and balanced personalities. Youth club organize various types of co-curricular activities for students to exhibit their talent. Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Head, Punjabi Department is its coordinator.

The Cultural festival of Teeyan was celebrated in the BUC college Batala under the competent guidance of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Edward Masih.Entire program was conducted under the supervision of Youth coordinator and HoD Punjabi Department, Professor Sukhjinder Singh Bath where Prof. Ramandeep Kaur and Prof Neha played the role of coordinator of the festival. Dr. Sumrit Samera and Dr Jaspreet kaur graced the occasion as chief guests.

Teej Festival


Under the Competent guidance of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Edward Masih and under the supervision of Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Bath, Youth Coordinator, Youth Club of BUC College Batala Celebrated Teeyian Festival(Teej) on 11, August 2018. These types of Celebration of traditional festival in colleges help students to understand their culture and bond with their roots. On this occasion students and teachers were seen in colourful traditional Punjabi attire. The swings were decorated beautifully and girls enjoyed ‘peenghan’ Cultural programmes like folk singing ‘Gidha’ etc also performed in the college. Dr. Satinderjit Kaur Nijjar and Dr SS Nijjar are also marked their presence in the festival.



 


     


     


Youth Festival 2017-18 of BUC College, Batala


Baring Union Christian College Batala organized two days Youth Festival for the session 2017-18 on 16-17 February 2018. The function was organized by Prof. Sukhjinder Singh, Youth Coordinator, Baring college under the Competent guidance of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Edward Masih and with the cooperation of all the members of Baring family specially the staff of Punjabi department. In this two day function different competitions were organized like Rangoli Making, Poster Making, Gutt Paranda, Dastar Saazana, Folk Songs, Gidda, Bhangra, Singing, Dance, Painting and many more.
Mr Juzar Singh of MA English was selected as Mr. Baring and Miss Palak Sharma of B.Com 2nd Semester was Selected as Miss Baring, Congratulations to both.
Sh. V.M. Goel, President Lions Club Batala Smile and Sh. Kewal Dhaliwal, President Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy were the Chief Guests of the function.
S. Harmanjit Singh Goraya (Chairman Jan Kalyan Charitable Society), S. Baljit Singh Dhillon (SP Operation Batala), Sh. P.C Pyasa (EX Commissioner Excise & Taxation), Dr. Ravinder Singh (Poet), Mr. Daniel B. Dass (Property manager, BUCCA), Dr S.S Nijjar, Music Director Sogi Boss, Mr. H.L Peters (Principal Baring School), Mr. Sukhnandan Hothi, Retired Prof. S.S Kahlon, Mr. Kuldeep Randhawa, Mr Didar Bhinder(Vice Chairman, Punjab Agriculture Development Bank) and many others renowned personalities of Batala were present on this wonderful occasion. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of various competitions.
The famous Punjabi folk Singers “Randhawa Brothers” (Rami Randhawa and Prince Randhawa) gave their live stage performance for more than 2 hours. Through their songs they try their best to deliver the message to maintain the Punjabi Virsa and culture. The audience enjoyed all the songs of Randhawa Brothers. Teaching staff, Non- Teaching staff and students of BUC College acted as the nice and wonderful audience of the function and the function was a great success.
