The Department of Youth welfare attempts to provide maximum opportunities and create conditions for students to develop into better and balanced persons. In collaboration with the Directorate of youth services Punjab, the college organizes various types of co-curricular activities for students to exhibits their talents. Educational tours, Cycle tours, Hobby classes, Youth Leadership, Training camps, Hiking and trekking, Mountaineering Training, Social Survives programmes, painting competitions, music, declamations and many more similar activities are organized. |

The various societies in the college aim at expression to student's imagination and talents. they organize lecture, debates, declamations, exhibitions, dramas education film shows, tours etc. for the development of students. All these societies function under the guidance of teacher. Specific aims and objectives and membership rules are
framed by the departments concerned.
The following clubs and societies shall function in the college during 2005-06. It is mandatory for every students to be a member of at least one society or clubs. |

The College magazine 'Deepshikha' is published once in a year. It is a periodical of students and staff which contain articles and stories of general interest besides the college news. It offers a chance to the students to understand and evolve their creative and critical potentials and capacities. The selection of student editors of English, Hindi, Punjabi, Commerce and Science section of the college magazine is made on the basis of written tests. |

Educational Tour

Traveling is a good medium of education. Realizing its impotence, all the subject societies take their students to historical places, academic institutions, scientific research center and other places which are relevant to their syllabi for personal observations. At least two faculty member always accompany the student groups, so that they must behave as a discipline group. |
